1. Activate

Select Join from Tools with open paths selected — polylines or arcs that do not form closed loops.

2. Right sidebar

Selection

Reports selected vector count. Click paths to refine the set.

Tolerance

Set how close endpoints must be to connect (project units). Smaller values demand tighter gaps, larger values bridge wider separations.

3. Join Open Ends

Press Join Open Ends to weld nearby endpoints. Successful merges combine segments into a Joined Path.

← Back closes the join panel.

4. Quick actions

When two open paths are selected, shortcut modes can bridge gaps, snap one end to another, or deform segments to meet — useful after importing fragmented SVG strokes.

Laser tips

Closed paths cut more predictably than open ones. Join Polyline and Arc sketch lines into closed regions before assigning cut operations to avoid the laser treating gaps as jump moves mid-contour.
