1. Start drawing
Select Square from the Draw group in the left toolbar. A New Square panel opens on the right and a preview rectangle is drawn on the canvas at the bed centre.
2. Right sidebar fields
Position
Set X and Y to position the rectangle centre in millimetres or inches (matching your project unit).
Size
Width and Height define the outer dimensions.
Corner Radius
Round any or all corners using the corner diagram or per-corner inputs. Toggle Set Individual Corners for mixed radii.
Internal Corners inverts the fillet direction — handy when the rounded edge should face inward on nested laser parts. For additional corner rounding after the square is saved, see Fillet.
Rotation
Enter Angle (degrees) to rotate the shape about its centre before committing.
3. Commit the shape
Press Save Changes or Enter to add the square to the active layer. Cancel closes the form without creating geometry.
The finished path is ready for vector cut or score operations in the Operations tab. Or, select square > right click for operation shortcuts.
4. Editing later
Select an existing square to open Edit Square. You can rename it, adjust dimensions, or Delete it from the project.
Laser layout notes
Squares are closed paths, ideal for perimeter cuts. After placing several squares, use Repeat (Grid) to duplicate a layout across the sheet. For rounded machining-style corners on nested parts, see Fillet.
