1. Activate

Choose Polygon from Draw. The New Polygon form opens with a six-sided default preview.

2. Right sidebar

Position

Centre coordinates X and Y.

Size

Toggle Use Diameter to enter the full width across vertices instead of radius. The shape scales from the centre point.

Sides

Count sets how many edges the polygon has — triangles, hexagons, octagons, and so on (3 or more).

Rotation

Angle (degrees) spins the polygon so a flat edge or vertex faces the direction you need.

3. Commit

Save Changes or Enter places the polygon on the active layer. Cancel exits without adding geometry.

4. Edit mode

Select a polygon to rename or resize it, or Delete to remove it.

Laser tips

Hexagons and octagons nest efficiently on sheet layouts. Use Repeat (Circular), to ring copies around a centre for gear-like decorative patterns. Round vertices with Fillet if needed.
