1. Start the tool

Select Text ( T icon) from Draw. New Text opens in the right sidebar.

2. Sidebar fields

Text Content

Click the bed to place the cursor, then enter your label, serial number, or URL in the text box.

Font

Pick a system font from the dropdown and set Font Size in mm or inches.

Style

Choose Left, Centre, or Right alignment. Enable Bold for heavier strokes.

Spacing

Adjust Letter spacing and Line Height for multi-line layouts.

Position

Fine-tune X, Y, and Rotation (°) after placing the anchor on the canvas.

3. Finish

Create Text adds vector outlines to the active layer once text and position are set. Cancel exits without creating geometry.

4. Edit later

Click text on the canvas to change content, font, or placement. Delete removes it.

Laser tips

Outlined text cuts cleanly at small sizes. For filled lettering, combine with fill operations after creating the outlines. Mirror symmetric labels with Mirror or reposition with Transform.
